The Styx 3m round wooden garden parasol in green is a sturdy, well-constructed garden parasol built around an ethically sourced eucalyptus frame that is stronger than most standard hardwoods. The 48mm pole gives the structure real rigidity, and the reinforced ribbed frame keeps the canopy held firmly in shape. The canopy opens and closes via a double pulley rope and pin system, making operating the full 3m span easy and secure. Leather overlays and metal fixings where each rib meets the canopy pocket prevent the ribs from wearing through the fabric over time. The green 230gsm polyester canopy is rot resistant with a UPF 50+ rating and a fade resistance level of 5/6, so the colour holds well season to season. The canopy is also removable and machine washable at 30°, making cleaning straightforward. For regular fabric protection we recommend the Golden Care Fabrics & Upholstery Kit. A weighted base is required and not included. For freestanding use a minimum of 50-70kg is recommended. Used through a centre-hole dining table, a 25kg concrete parasol base is sufficient.
